Free Patriotic Movement Minister Elias Bou Saab rejected allegations Wednesday that his decision to sack the director of his radio station was politically motivated, after the latter raised questions about FPM President Gebran Bassil's wealth on LBCI TV.Maalouf said the sacking was retribution for the report.Bou Saab, who is the country's education minister, retorted Wednesday that the decision was purely business. Pressed for more information, Bou Saab said Maalouf's multiple roles, at Fame.FM and other stations, presented a "conflict of interest". Last week's "Hki Jelis" report claimed that Bassil, the son-in-law of FPM founder MP Michel Aoun, had acquired 38 properties since he first ran for Parliament in 2005, according to documents leaked by the hacker collective Anonymous.
