Spanish Defense Minister Pedro Morenes urged Lebanon's political rivals Tuesday to elect a new president as a first step forward "for the Lebanese institutions to go back to normal" and ensured his country's readiness to cooperate with Lebanon regarding various social- and security-related issues.Morenes also visited the Miguel de Cervantes base in Marjayoun where he met members of his country's UNIFIL contingent.Accompanied by Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon Milagros Hernando, Morenes was welcomed by UNIFIL head of mission and force commander Maj.
