Municipal elections scheduled for spring 2016 should be held on time, Free Patriotic Movement President Gebran Bassil said Tuesday, adding that parliamentary by-elections should also be organized in south Lebanon's Jezzine. Speaking after the weekly meeting of the Change and Reform bloc, Bassil underscored the importance of holding municipal elections saying that it was something owed to citizens. The district is represented in Parliament by three lawmakers: two Maronites and one Melkite Catholic.
