Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt Thursday accused the Syrian government of being behind the car bomb that killed prominent Druze Sheikh Wahid Balous, rejecting claims that militants were responsible for the attack.Balous was a vocal critic of Syrian President Bashar Assad, but also an opponent of Syrian rebel groups.The PSP chief also described Wafi Abu Trabi, a Syrian militant leader who allegedly claimed responsibility for the killing, as "the Druze Abu Adass".Car bombing in a southern Syrian province of Swaida killed Balous and at least 25 others last week.
