Dr. Esmat Rayes held a news conference to explain what went on when 26-year-old Alaa Abdullah Ajib was admitted to the hospital earlier this month after sustaining a gunshot wound.News of Ajib's subsequent death went viral after a video was published on social media showing him in critical condition and surrounded by LRC medics attempting to help him. His friends claimed that the emergency room doctor wasn't at the hospital. Rayes explained that he was deliberately stating the names of the doctors present during the young man's death in order to refute the claims that no doctor was present to treat Ajib.
