Authorities Tuesday shuttered the clinic of a gynecologist arrested and accused last week of performing about 200 abortions on the 75 sex slaves recently freed.A security source told The Daily Star that Alam and his nurse admitted to performing dozens of abortions on the 75 sex slaves freed last week in raids on brothels in Jounieh, north of Beirut.Head of Lebanon's Doctors Syndicate Antoine Boustani told Al-Jadeed TV that while Alam confessed to carrying out the abortions, the Health Ministry's closure of his clinic was illegal.Last week, the ISF announced that police had freed 75 girls held against their will in fresh raids to bust the largest known sex trafficking ring in the country.
