Body found on Beirut's Ramlet al-Baida beach

BEIRUT: Civil Defense workers found the body of a man who went missing last week on the shore of a public beach in Beirut.

The state-run National News Agency said the maritime rescue division discovered the body of the young Syrian man, identified as Tarek Al-Faraj early Wednesday at Ramlet al-Baida beach. The popular beach is located along the southern end of the Beirut promenade.

Faraj was said to have went missing at the beach last Sunday.

However, it remains unclear how the young man died.
