Police Saturday rescued a Syrian woman from a southern Beirut suburb where her husband was holding her captive and torturing her, an Internal Security Forces statement said.The incident comes after a young Syrian woman who was being tortured in her parents' home was rescued by police on Wednesday, and her father was arrested.The girl was tortured by her father and brother in the village of Tamnin al-Tahta in the Baalbek district for returning to her husband's house without the father's permission. She said in her testimony that her parents snatched her from her husband's house in the Mount Lebanon town of Ghazir and beat her severely.
