Speaker Nabih Berri Monday adjourned the 38th session to elect a president to May 10 over a lack of quorum, similar to previous sessions.With less than 55 MPs in attendance, the session followed the fate of the previous 37 sessions. Future Movement leader Saad Hariri did not attend the session, although he participated in the last two. Presidential candidate and Marada Movement leader Sleiman Frangieh also did not attend the session.Frangieh's presidential bid is backed by Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, Hariri, MP Walid Jumblatt, and some independent lawmakers.
