The National Commission for a Proportional Representation Electoral Law staged a sit-in Tuesday in Riad al-Solh square to demand a modern electoral system based on proportionality.The sit-in was planned to coincide with the first of three days of national dialogue sessions, where the presidential election and the electoral law are high on the agenda.Members of the Lebanese Communist Party, national and secular parties, defectors from the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, and various youth and civil movements, participated in the gathering to demand a change in the system.
