The Lebanese Army raided Syrian refugee camps along the northeastern border Friday in a precautionary measure, a senior military source told The Daily Star, as the Army pounded militant hideouts overnight a day after capturing three Daesh (ISIS) militants.The state-run National News Agency reported Friday morning that an Army force raided Syrian refugee camps in the area of Masharih Al-Qaa and the nearby farms.Masharih Al-Qaa – a predominantly Sunni area near the Christian town of Al-Qaa – is home to a large number of refugees who fled the conflict in Syria.The raids in Masharih Al-Qaa came a day after the Army detained four senior Daesh members in a surprise operation on the outskirts of the restive town of Arsal.The military source also confirmed that top Daesh official, Lebanese national Sameh al-Breidy, died as a result of wounds he sustained during the Army operation.
