More showers are expected across Lebanon as mountain roads were blocked by heavy snowfall and poor visibility stranded motorists in remote areas Wednesday.The capital Beirut witnessed heavy traffic with several roads flooded with rain water. A lake formed on Dora road, north of Beirut, due to the heavy rainfall, as Public Works Ministry workers sought to open clogged rain drains.In the northern district of Akkar, snowfall reached altitudes of 1,800 meters with several roads closed due to black ice, in particular in Qobeiyat.The storm is expected to break Thursday morning, before a return of rain and snowfall Thursday night.Further to the south, roads were submerged with rain water as storm drains inundated.
