A plane arrived in Beirut Wednesday evening to bring the five recently-freed Czech nationals back home, an airport source told The Daily Star. The source said that the Czechs are expected to fly back to their country within the next 48 hours and that Lebanese authorities were being "very discreet" about the operation. Fayyad had been arrested at the behest of U.S. authorities seeking to have him extradited over allegations of arms and drug trafficking.Their release came on the same day a Lebanese newspaper reported that the five Czechs' captors were seeking to swap them for Ali Fayyad.
