Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov praised Prime Minister Tamam Salam Friday for maintaining security and stability in Lebanon in light of the presidential vacuum and ongoing regional turmoil.Salam in turn thanked Lavrov for the contribution to help resolve Lebanon's garbage crisis.French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian discussed the exceptional Lebanese-French ties with Salam.Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri and Salam discussed regional developments following the nuclear deal between Iran and the international powers. Last week, Salam attended the London Donors Conference, where he requested $11 billion in financial aid from the international community to help Lebanon cope with the crisis.Barzani lauded the role of Lebanese expats in Kurdistan and agreed with Salam that expats play an important role the prosperity to the region.
