Former Information Minister Michel Samaha was admitted to hospital Thursday after he fell ill during his trial.A Lebanese Red Cross ambulance transferred Samaha to Beirut's Hotel Dieu Hospital soon after head of the Military Cassation Court Judge Toni Lattouf called for a 15-minute recess after the defendant said he was not feeling good. Samaha, a key ally of Syrian President Bashar Assad, was released by the Military Court of Cassation on a nearly $100,000 bail last month despite having been convicted of a terror plot to destabilize the country last year.Attorney General Charbel Abu Samra was set to question Samaha during Thursday's session.
