Lebanon's March 14 coalition Sunday called on the Cabinet to immediately hold a meeting and take a firm stance on abiding by Arab consensus, reiterating its condemnation of Hezbollah's harsh critique against Saudi Arabia.Future Movement leader Saad Hariri said that the Lebanese Forces rejected using Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil's name in the statement, prompting them to change it to "Hezbollah's allies," in reference to the Free Patriotic Movement which Bassil heads. The move is believed to be in response to Bassil's decision not to endorse a statement issued at two Arab Summits last month, condemning so-called "Iranian interference in Arab state affairs" and classifying Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.March 14 figures have also blamed Hezbollah for Riyadh's decision, calling on the party to end its attacks against Saudi Arabia.
