A Progressive Socialist Party delegation discussed Monday with Lebanese Forces Leader Samir Geagea recent developments and underscored the importance of internal reconciliation, a PSP official told The Daily Star. The visit, commissioned by party head Walid Jumblatt, comes after a recent march by members of the Druze community commemorating PSP's victory over the LF in the mid-'80s in the Shahar area. Media reports suggested that the march's theme revisited the war, and it could jeopardize reconciliation efforts. Rayess dismissed any link between the events, saying that Jumblatt and the PSP lauded the rapprochement.
