Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri Monday launched a document to show support for Saudi Arabia and solidarity with Arab unanimity as Lebanon struggles to contain the grave economic effects of a Saudi decision to halt $4 billion in grants to buy arms for the Lebanese Army and police.Hariri was the first to sign the solidarity document, followed by former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, head of the parliamentary Future bloc, and Defense Minister Samir Moqbel.Hariri's speech came shortly after Prime Minister Tammam Salam announced that he would head a ministerial delegation to visit Gulf countries to reassure them of Lebanon's commitment to its "Arab identity" and its "support for its Arab brothers".Earlier Monday, Hariri met with more Lebanese and foreign officials for talks on the political crisis in Lebanon and developments in the region. MP Dory Chamoun, the head of the National Liberal Party, said he visited Hariri to welcome his return to Lebanon.
