Snow blanketed large parts of Lebanon for a second day Saturday, blocking many vital roads and knocking out electricity and cell phone coverage to areas in the north.Thick layers of snow buried areas in northern Lebanon, blocking roads and making it difficult for people to move about.Roads in Ehden, Qartaba, Aqoura, Laqlouq, Mayfouq, Hadath al-Jibbeh, Tannourine and Sannine were cut off to all vehicles, the Internal Security Forces announced via Twitter, warning commuters against heading for these areas. However, Mount Lebanon areas were mostly blocked off by thick mounds of snow, but roads leading to Aley and Bhamdoun were open to equipped cars.ISF also advised commuters to avoid Hasbaya and Bint Jbeil in south Lebanon, which were completely buried in snow. Jezzine, starting from the town of Roum, and other Chouf areas were also cut off.
