Senior political leaders Thursday expressed hope that a bilateral meeting Monday between Hezbollah and the Future Movement would proceed as planned at a time when increased hostility between Iran and Saudi Arabia is straining local political affairs."The Future-Hezbollah dialogue is currently the most important one, and it is necessary for it to continue in order to reduce political and sectarian tension," visitors to his residence quoted him as saying.Speaking after his meeting with Berri, Machnouk stressed the need to keep dialogue open between Future and Hezbollah. The bilateral meeting will be preceded by a new national dialogue session between party leaders.Machnouk said his discussions with Berri concerned the dialogue, municipal elections and reactivating the work of the Cabinet.Future-Hezbollah relations appeared to remain strained, despite the meeting with Berri, who usually mediates between the two parties.
