France and the United Kingdom are considering boycotting Beirut airport due to safety concerns, Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouk said in remarks published Wednesday.Machnouk said France and the U.K. are waiting to see whether the Lebanese government will act to close the security gaps at Beirut airport.Last March, Zeaiter said that measures were being taken to enhance Lebanon's air safety conditions to meet EU and international standards.The decision was made after Lebanon failed to meet the EU's standards for air transportation safety.
