The brother of Hasan Yaacoub traded barbs with an Amal Movement official Sunday after he accused the group of preventing people from showing solidarity with the detained former lawmaker.Ali Yaacoub also claimed that an aide of Amal Movement leader Speaker Nabih Berri had interfered in the case of his brother. Addressing a news conference at the Safa Mosque at the Beirut neighborhood of Ras al-Nabaa, Yaacoub accused the Amal Movement of asking its supporters not to show solidarity with his brother. Yaacoub claimed that Monday, Jan. 4, Bushra Khalil, defense attorney of Hannibal Gadhafi, son of late Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, telephoned Col. Youssef Dimashq, who is in charge of Berri's security.Baalbaki quickly dismissed Yaacoub's claims.
