The mother of former MP Hasan Yaacoub vowed to resume her hunger strike once she is discharged from hospital, where she was admitted after six days of refusing food to protest the detention of her son.The family had begun an open-ended protest in Safa Mosque last month after Yaacoub was arrested over his alleged involvement in the kidnapping of the son of former Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi.Gadhafi remains in custody for questioning over the Aug. 31, 1978, disappearance of influential imam and Amal founder Sayyed Musa al-Sadr and his two companions who included Sheikh Mohammad Yaacoub, the former MP's father.
