March 14 youth organizations and the Progressive Socialist Party Saturday protested outside Beirut's Military Tribunal over its release of ex-Minister Michel Samaha, urging lawmakers to limit the power of the court.Dozens of protesters holding Lebanese flags gathered outside the court in their continued efforts to press against the release on bail of Samaha, who has been convicted on terror charges. The Military Tribunal's decision to release Samaha angered mainly the March 14 alliance which has backed Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi in his request to the Cabinet to transfer the retrial of Samaha from the Military Tribunal to the Judicial Council.Rifi also proposed to Cabinet the modification of the Military Tribunal's jurisdiction after its release of Samaha.
