The Lebanese Model United Nations conference commenced Friday for the 13th consecutive year at AUB, bringing together a 160 teenage students to debate pressing global issues. The three-day conference was organized by the American Community School's Model United Nations club with the purpose of fostering political awareness and leadership skills in the next generation. Students from Sagesse High School, the Rafic Hariri High School and the Houssaam Edine Hariri School also participated in the activity. Like previous years, the students at ACS were responsible for organizing and regulating themselves during the conference.Rhian Davis is a senior high school student at ACS and acted as this year's secretary-general of the MUN, having first participated in the conference a few years ago.
