The European Union Wednesday pledged an additional two million euros ($2,199,500) to the Lebanese Education Ministry's program aimed at incorporating Syrian refugee children into the school system."The focus in the coming phase will be on accommodating more [Syrian refugees] into the public schools, especially since there is a clear intention from the international community, donors and the EU to make this plan successful," Lassen said in a statement after meeting with Bou Saab.She added that while the EU has donated around 180 million euros in the last four years to a plan called Reaching Every Child with Education in Lebanon (RACE), it is pledging an additional 2 million euros.
