Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah urged Cabinet Friday to rectify Lebanon's numerous problems generally and the Litani River pollution specifically but said the party wouldn't accept an increase in taxation, calling on the state to find other revenue sources.Nasrallah attacked Saudi Arabia's policies in the Middle East in line with his regional alignment with the kingdom's rival Iran, drawing the ire of former Prime Minister Saad Hariri, who responded immediately. During the speech, Nasrallah accused Saudi Arabia of attempting to normalize ties with Israel, claiming the two countries have been fostering a back-room relationship for years.Nasrallah also criticized Saudi Arabia's alleged attempt to normalize ties with Israel as he considered that the country would not garner anything in return.Nasrallah lashed out at Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir for insisting that Syrian President Bashar Assad step down, whether through force or acquiescence.Hariri also criticized Hezbollah's involvement in ongoing conflicts across the Middle East, saying such conduct does not permit Nasrallah to accuse anyone of bloodshed.
