Beirut Governor Ziad Chebib on Wednesday lashed out at Health Minister Wael Abu Faour for suggesting he is not cooperating in the food safety campaign and thus endangering the health of citizens. In remarks to LBCI, North Lebanon Governor Ramzi Nohra also responded to Abu Faour, echoing Chebib's remarks that Lebanese governors only complied to decisions issued by the Interior Ministry.Abu Faour had earlier in the day criticized Chebib and Nohra for rebelling against the ministry and not respecting its decisions to close down certain establishments found to be violating health, safety or legal standards.
