Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt urged Lebanon's top presidential candidates to head to Iran and Syria and blamed them for the two-year void.Jumblatt is among other Lebanese politicians, who believe the presidential vacuum is being extended by regional crises.Marada Movement leader Sleiman Frangieh, who was tipped by his rival Future Movement leader Saad Hariri to run for the office, also abstained from attending sessions to conform with the stance of its March 8 allies.
