The Cabinet will meet Thursday amid lingering differences over the controversial Janna dam project and the State Security agency, two contentious issues that threaten to further cripple the work of an already paralyzed government.Economy Minister Alain Hakim and Labor Minister Sejaan Azzi walked out of last week's Cabinet session in protest at what they called "flaws" in the implementation of a trash plan.In announcing the two ministers' resignation Tuesday, Kataeb Party leader MP Sami Gemayel said he no longer saw the point of participating in a "corrupt" and "failed" government. Kataeb MP Elie Marouni said the two ministers' resignation is irreversible.The Cabinet has failed to settle the Janna project dispute in the past three sessions, with the ministers split over the dam project.Salam has yet to issue an official statement on the ministers' resignation.Parliamentary Speaker Nabih Berri downplayed the significance of the two ministers' resignations.
