Speaker Nabih Berri has said that the issue of Lebanon's offshore oil and gas reserves will be discussed on the sidelines of the national dialogue session scheduled for Tuesday. In the remarks published Monday in As-Safir newspaper, Berri said that unjustified bickering over the matter among rivals is delaying plans to extract the oil and gas.He warned that Israel would exploit Lebanon's delay in exploring its offshore wealth along the country's southern coast by drilling into two blocks in the disputed area of water with Lebanon. Berri called for practical and swift action to protect Lebanon's oil and gas resources.
