Lebanon's Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouk Thursday refused to compare his stance at the 33rd conference of the Arab Interior Ministers Council in Tunis to that of Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil at similar Arab meetings. The Future Movement, to which Machnouk belongs, harshly criticized Bassil for abstaining from voting on a statement issued at an Arab foreign ministers summit in January over the classification of Hezbollah as a terrorist group.Machnouk said he only expressed reservations on labeling Hezbollah a terrorist organization in the final statement but emphasized support for Arab solidarity.
