The United Nations Relief and Works Agency is turning its back on the rightful demands of the Palestinian people and disregarding the sufferings caused by the new policies, the Executive Council said Saturday. The Executive Council is the higher executive authority of the UNRWA Staff Union. It called on UNRWAs administration to swiftly resolve the crisis to preserve the rights of refugees, deeming the agency's decision as "wrong".Palestinians have since protested the move, forcibly shutting down several U.N. offices across the country.
