Free Patriotic Movement leader Gebran Bassil Wednesday said the upcoming municipal elections proved that past Parliament polls were delayed under false pretenses.The FPM has long criticized the extensions as illegal.A senior FPM official had told The Daily Star Tuesday night that the FPM was set to pull out of the Future Movement list following a dispute over the number of mukhtars, or local town officials.He said the FPM has demanded five mukhtar posts for its candidates, but the Future Movement offered only four.The FPM and the Lebanese Forces, two former rival parties, are allied in many areas across the country for the local elections.
