As the clock struck seven on Sunday morning, 105 municipalities in Baalbek and 33 in Hermel opened their doors to prospective voters.The electoral battle was particularly fierce in the city of Baalbek. Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouk chaired a meeting for the Baalbek Security Council at the city's governmental Serail. Attending were Baalbek-Hermel Gov. Bashir Khodr and other security officials. The interior minister said he was assured about the security situation across Baalbek-Hermel. The interior minister said that the security situation in Baalbek-Hermel was under control in general, revealing that a new governmental Serail in Baalbek would be constricted soon.
