Hezbollah deputy head Sheikh Naim Qassem Friday said results of the investigation into the assassination of a top commander would be concluded within hours, and vowed to keep fighting against Israel and extremist groups.Reflecting on the life of Badreddine, Qassem said "Israel and the takfiris suffered heavy blows" as a direct result of the Hezbollah commander's actions.He also vowed that the group would continue down Badreddine's "path" of resistance. The U.S. Treasury statement said Badreddine had accompanied Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah during strategic coordination meetings with Assad in Damascus.
