Foreign officials who met with Prime Minister Tammam Salam at a two-day summit in Istanbul inquired over the progress of the presidential stalemate.Salam called on donor countries to meet their pledges and aid the countries affected by the displacement of refugees to enable it to continue bearing such a responsibility.On the second day of his visit to Istanbul, Salam held talks with Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades in the presence of Social Affairs Minister Rashid Derbas, Education Minister Elias Bou Saab and Lebanon's ambassador to the U.N. Nawaf Salam, who are accompanying the PM on his trip. Salam later separately met on the sidelines of the summit with Kelly Clements, Deputy High Commissioner for Refugees at UNHCR, and Finland's PM Juha Sipila.
