Used cars dealers in Lebanon Saturday called on authorities to reopen car inspection centers across the country, arguing that used car showrooms traders were subjected to daily financial losses due to the closure. The Used Cars Traders Union was echoing a similar demand by Lebanese Public Drivers Union, which criticized the closure of inspection centers a day before, denouncing the actions of the Union and Leagues of Land Transport.Earlier this week, authorities assured the public earlier that inspection centers would return to government control and the proposed fee hike would be canceled.
