Lebanon is keen to boost relations with Saudi Arabia and appreciates King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz's stances toward the country, President Michel Aoun told a high-ranking Saudi delegation Monday.Prince Khaled, speaking to reporters after the meeting with Aoun at the presidential palace in Baabda, said he conveyed two messages from King Salman to the president: The first carried congratulations on the election of Aoun, and the second contained an official invitation to the president to visit the kingdom.During the meeting, Aoun expressed Lebanon's keenness to strengthen Lebanese-Saudi ties and his appreciation of the Saudi king's stances toward Lebanon, the statement said.In response, the prince said he wanted to convey to the Lebanese one wish from Saudi men and women: "We don't want Lebanon to be an arena of inter-Arab disputes, but a meeting place for inter-Arab accord". He added that Aoun's visit to Saudi Arabia would be the first to an Arab country.
