Mismanagement of a south Lebanon waste treatment plant is causing trash to accumulate on the streets of Nabatieh, said a report Monday. The report drafted by activists, environmentalists and NGOs in the Nabatieh district attributed the area's waste crisis to a breakdown in the collection and transport of trash by the company running the recycling plant in the village of Kfour. The report called on authorities to reconsider contracts with the management company, and urged municipalities to quickly request new tenders for the management of the sorting plant.
