Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri's return to Beirut from visits to Saudi Arabia and France Monday night is expected to end the ambiguity over the Future Movement's final stance on MP Michel Aoun's presidential bid, and subsequently decide the fate of a Parliament session to elect a head of state, political sources said.Hariri's return comes amid soaring optimism by Free Patriotic Movement officials that the head of the Future Movement is poised to announce his support for Aoun's candidacy some time this week, which would set the stage for the election of the FPM founder as president at the Parliament session on Oct. 31 ."We are waiting for [former] Prime Minister Hariri's return to Beirut to brief us on any new developments in the presidential election issue," Future MP Ammar Houri told The Daily Star shortly before Hariri flew back from Paris after visiting Riyadh. He refused to comment on the FPM's optimism that Hariri will soon endorse Aoun's candidacy for the presidency.MP Alain Aoun from the FPM said that Hariri will announce this week his support for Aoun's presidential bid.
