The Health Ministry revealed Tuesday that an alarming number of recent food samples taken from establishments across the country were found to be in violation of health standards despite a nearly two-year crackdown.Most of the establishments in the new report are located in the southern Lebanese town of Nabatieh and surrounding areas in addition to Tyre, Sidon, Jezzine, Beirut, Aley, Jbeil, Zahleh, Chtaurah, Akkar and Kesrouan.Samples from several heavily frequented food outlets in Beirut, including in the popular Hamra and Raouche districts, tested negative for violations, while other establishments tested positive.
