The Army announced a suspected Daesh (ISIS) "emir" had confessed Tuesday to plotting attacks targeting popular tourist locations, economic hubs and major television channels across Lebanon. The Army said in a statement that Imad Yassin admitted his nefarious intent during interrogation. Yassin also confessed to murdering four people and being an accessory to the killing of four others. The emir even allegedly had contingency plans if a clash were to break out between militants and the Army, in which case they would target Army warehouses and centers. The Army statement did not give any details about how the interrogation was conducted. Moqbel said that the Army has set up fixed and mobile checkpoints and surveillance centers, and conducted patrols and detained suspects in efforts to re-establish control and security in the Dinnieh district.
