Saudi Arabia's Arab Gulf Affairs Minister Thamer al-Sabhan Friday met with former Lebanese Prime Ministers Saad Hariri and Najib Mikati on the second day of his visit to Lebanon. When asked by reporters over the Saudi position on the Lebanese presidency, Mikati said that Riyadh is concerned about Lebanon's stability, but does not interfere, and that it will ensure that the next head of state works for the interest of the Lebanese people.Sabhan's visit comes a week after Hariri endorsed his decade-long rival MP Michel Aoun for the presidency, finally clearing the general's path to the country's top Christian seat.
