Four young princesses dressed in gowns, ran after the witch and policeman through the dense crowd filling the streets of Saifi Village the Saturday before Halloween.Just days before Halloween, the winding streets were overrun with a scary, creepy and crawly themed afternoon of delight for the year's edition of Le Marche Saifi – a family street party with food, art and music.Kamal, another event-goer, also remarked how nice it was to see Saifi's streets being used as a community space.In a country with few communal public spaces, street markets like Le Marche Saifi are bringing people together in the city's heart to enjoy an afternoon of fun – this time with a scary Halloween theme.
