A sergeant in Lebanon's Internal Security Forces has died as a result of gunshot wounds sustained while attempting to apprehend suspected car thieves in the Nahr al-Mott area, north of Beirut, ISF announced Tuesday.The incident began Monday, when a unit from ISF's Bureau of International Theft raided the office belonging to an auto theft ring around 10:30 p.m., prompting the suspects to open fire.Sergeant Chadi al-Hajj, 28, succumbed to wounds he sustained during the exchange of fire.Another sergeant was shot in the foot.
