Environment Minister Tarek Khatib announced Tuesday that the official hunting season will run from September 2017 to January 2018, and hunters will be required to pass exams before obtaining a license.Khatib held a news conference at the ministry's office in Downtown Beirut to discuss new regulations for Lebanon's largely unregulated hunting sector.The hunting regulations will be enforced and violators will face harsh penalties, the minister said.New legislation, Law 580/04, was agreed in 2004, but has not been enforced.
