Following another assault at a Lebanese hospital, the country's Order of Physicians and Syndicate of Private Hospitals Tuesday called for action over the increasingly common acts of violence against medical facilities, calling on security forces to boost protective measures.In a joint statement, the two unions condemned violence against hospitals, their patients and staff – the most recent instance of which occurred at Al-Zahraa University Hospital's emergency room Monday night. The unions' joint statement Tuesday called on the judiciary to take "deterrent" measures against such assaults and to hold perpetrators accountable.
