Lebanon's Higher Council of Defense committed Tuesday to a successful military operation in the forthcoming battle against Daesh (ISIS), the council's Secretary-General Maj.Local media said that both Aoun and Hariri confirmed during the meeting that the government is committed to liberating the country from terrorism.Aoun also met Tuesday with General Security chief Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim. Local channel MTV reported that the heads of Lebanon's security apparatuses, including Army Commander Gen. Joseph Aoun, would submit a report on the offensive against Daesh.
