Palestinian officials met Thursday following an attack by extremists on the joint security force in the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp. Seven people were wounded Thursday evening after heavy gunfire broke out between supporters of the extremist Bilal Badr and Palestinian security force personnel in the southern Lebanon camp. Badr is still at large, and is suspected to be hiding out in the Al-Tiri neighborhood of the camp. The camp has also become a haven for a variety of Palestinian extremist groups as well as foreign regional militants.A previous meeting of local leaders was held earlier Thursday, to discuss tensions caused by the construction of a security wall, the state-run National News Agency reported.
